How to compress a PDF in PDF Gain

Compression runs inside the same editor workspace. Choose a compression level, apply it, review the result, and save or export the smaller PDF.

  1. 01

    Upload your PDF

Choose the file you want to reduce. The editor opens the document so you can inspect pages before compressing.

  2. 02

    Open the Compress tool

Select Compress from the editor rail to reveal the compression controls in the settings panel.

  3. 03

    Choose a compression level

Pick High Quality for light optimization, Balanced for most files, or Small File for stronger image downsampling.

  4. 04

Save or export the optimized file

After compression finishes, save to keep the smaller file and export the PDF when you are ready to share it.
