Refund Rules

PDF Gain provides refunds only where required by applicable law or where we decide, after review, that a purchase should be refunded because the service did not work as intended for reasons within our control.

If you experienced a technical error that prevented you from using a paid PDF Gain feature, contact us at support@pdfgain.com. Please include the email used at checkout, your plan or transaction details, a description of the issue, and evidence such as screenshots, screen recordings, error messages, or document details that help us investigate.

Submitting a refund request does not guarantee approval. We review requests case by case and will notify you by email about the result. A "technical error" generally means a reproducible defect in PDF Gain, under normal use, that prevented you from completing a core paid action such as saving edits, exporting, signing, password-protecting, or compressing a document. It does not usually include unsupported or corrupted files, misuse of the service, local device or browser issues, internet connectivity problems, or third-party outages outside our reasonable control.

Situations That Are Not Eligible for Refunds

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, PDF Gain does not provide refunds in the situations below.

  • Personal reasons: You changed your mind, no longer need the product, do not like the product, or expected a feature that was not offered in your plan or checkout description.
  • Accidental or financial reasons: You made an accidental purchase, forgot to cancel before renewal, lacked sufficient funds, or did not intend to continue a subscription.
  • Completed access: You used paid features, exported documents, or otherwise received the digital service you purchased, unless the service was defective or a refund is required by law.
  • Account or policy violations: Access was limited, suspended, or terminated because of misuse, prohibited content, chargeback abuse, or violation of our Terms and Conditions.

General Refund Rules

If your request does not meet the conditions in this policy, amounts paid to PDF Gain are generally non-refundable and non-exchangeable. This includes subscription fees, trial conversions, renewals, and paid feature access unless a different rule is shown at checkout or required by applicable law.

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method through our payment provider. Processing times may vary depending on the payment method, provider, card issuer, bank, and country.

Note for EU Residents

If you are an EU consumer, you may have a 14-day right to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason and without incurring costs, subject to applicable exceptions for digital content and digital services.

To exercise a withdrawal right, email us before the withdrawal period expires. Your message should clearly state that you wish to withdraw from the purchase and should include the same email address used for your PDF Gain account or purchase so we can identify the transaction.

If a valid withdrawal request applies, we will reimburse eligible payments without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We will usually use the same payment method used for the initial transaction unless another method is required or agreed.

If you expressly consented to immediate performance during the withdrawal period and acknowledged that you may lose the right of withdrawal, you may not be eligible for a refund for delivered digital content, and any refund for digital services may be proportional unless the service is defective or law requires otherwise.

How to Request a Refund

Send your request to support@pdfgain.com from the email address associated with your account or purchase whenever possible. This helps us locate the transaction faster.

We may ask for additional information before making a decision. If your request is approved, we will process the refund through the payment provider. If your request is denied, we will explain the reason by email.

  • Email address used at checkout or in your PDF Gain account.
  • Order, invoice, subscription, or transaction identifier if available.
  • A clear explanation of the issue and when it happened.
  • Screenshots, screen recordings, error messages, or other evidence for technical issues.
6

Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card provider, we may provide transaction, account, checkout, and usage information to the payment provider as part of the dispute process.

Submitting a chargeback may result in temporary or permanent suspension of paid features while the dispute is reviewed. Contacting support first is usually the fastest way to resolve billing issues.

Updates to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the last updated date.

The version in effect at the time of your purchase generally applies to that purchase unless applicable law requires otherwise.
